Jesus shed his blood on the cross for us. His shedding blood on the cross is voluntary accepting of his death for the liberation of humanity. Mankind who was far away, dead in transgressions and sins, were brought back to Him. The first time Jesus shed His blood for us was in the Garden of Gethsemane “,,,,,,,, and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down on the ground…… (Luke 22: 44). Jesus shed His blood, while he was whipped (Mk15: 15), when the crown of thorns was placed on his head by the soldiers (Mk.15:16), while carrying the heavy cross on His shoulders. When He bruised His knees as He fell (Mk. 15:19). When His hands and legs were nailed to the Cross. And finally, blood and water oozed out when He was pierced on His sides with a lance (Jn 19: 34).

……. have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, ……… (Eph. 2: 13,14). and through him to reconcile to himself all things, ….. by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross. (Col 1: 20). ……. He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. (Heb. 9: 12). And so, Jesus also suffered …. to make the people holy through his own blood. (Heb. 13:12). ……… that you were redeemed ……. the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. (1 Pet 1: 18, 19).
